Therapy Groups at the Center for Transformative Healing

Being in community and having a sense of belonging is central to living optimally and healing. Humans are wired for connection; we need to know we matter to others.  Some of our greatest suffering can come from loneliness and feeling “othered”. At CTH, our therapy groups are designed to create supportive spaces where people can explore their experiences, deepen self-understanding, feel seen by others who share similar challenges and goals.

The Center for Transformative Healing is now welcoming participants for two new therapy groups, with additional groups planned in the future. Each group is facilitated with care, confidentiality, and a commitment to emotional safety, community, and personal growth.

Now Forming:

Transmasc Process Group

This ongoing therapy group offers a supportive and affirming space for transmasc individuals to explore identity, relationships, emotional wellbeing, life transitions, and personal growth in community with others who share similar lived experiences.
Group process therapy focuses on authentic conversation and interpersonal connection. Participants are invited to bring whatever feels meaningful or present in their lives — including challenges, successes, uncertainty, isolation, family dynamics, self-esteem, gender expression, or the ongoing process of becoming more fully themselves.
The group aims to foster:
  • Emotional support and connection
  • Greater self-awareness and confidence
  • Exploration of identity and relationships
  • Reduced isolation
  • A sense of belonging and community
This group is intended for transmasc individuals at any stage of their journey who are seeking a deeper sense of connection, reflection, and healing in a therapeutic environment.

The Shared Quest Therapy Group

The Shared Quest is an experiential therapy group that combines elements of storytelling, role-play, creativity, and interpersonal process to support emotional growth, self-discovery, and connection with others.
Using collaborative imaginative experiences as a framework, participants explore themes such as courage, identity, belonging, conflict, values, relationships, and transformation. The group creates opportunities to experiment with new ways of relating, deepen emotional awareness, and practice authenticity in a supportive setting.
The Shared Quest may be especially meaningful for individuals who:
  • Identify as neurodivergent
  • Feel isolated or socially anxious
  • Want help with managing daily living challenges with more confidence
  • Learn best through creativity and experience
  • Enjoy storytelling, imagination, or role-playing games
  • Want to build interpersonal skills, using existing strengths
  • Are seeking community, self-expression, and emotional growth
No prior role-playing or gaming experience is necessary. The focus of the group is therapeutic growth, building confidence in tackling challenges that affect functioning, and human connection rather than performance or competition.

More Groups Coming Soon
