ADHD & ASD Assessments
We offer comprehensive mental health, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessments to individuals 15 years of age and older. Our assessments are designed to offer an in-depth understanding of each individual's unique challenges and strengths.
Our team of qualified therapists is trained and skilled in diagnosing and providing psychotherapy interventions for neurodivergent conditions, including ADHD and ASD. However, it is important to note that our assessments are not the same as a full neuropsychological evaluation because we do not conduct cognitive testing (commonly referred to as IQ and information processing), nor can we determine whether an individual has a learning disability.
If you suspect that you may have ADHD and/or ASD and think that what we offer at CTH is a good fit for you, we will do our best to support and guide you to learn about yourself so that you can better manage your challenges and harness your strengths to live optimally. Please check out our FAQ section below for more information.

Within five to six 60-minute sessions, we gather data from psychological/diagnostic assessments that help us determine if an individual meets DSM-5 criteria for ADHD and/or ASD, as well as other common mental health conditions.
-
We recognize your readiness to begin this journey and are committed to maintaining clarity about scheduling. Currently, there is an estimated 2-6 month waiting period for assessments. If a member of our assessment team reaches out to you to get started, it is important that you are responsive, as we will give the spot to the next person on our waitlist if we do not hear from you within one week.
-
We use a variety of methods, including standardized psychological/mental health assessments and diagnostic interviews. We may want to interview a significant person in your life to learn about their perspective on your challenges and strengths.
The final session will be an opportunity to collaboratively review the test results, assessment findings, and to provide a detailed report including tailored recommendations and resources.
We often recommend strategies to manage daily life challenges, with an aim of empowering you and your significant others (as needed) with the knowledge and understanding of the conditions relevant to their functioning.
-
Though we are skilled at administering these evaluations, deciding to do an assessment with us does not guarantee a diagnosis of ADHD, ASD, or any other mental health diagnosis.
