Elizabeth (Lizzie) Cohen will start at CTH in June 2026 as a couple and family therapist intern. She is pursuing her M.A. in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy at Lewis & Clark’s Graduate School of Education and Counseling, with an emphasis on sexuality and trauma-informed care.

Prior to becoming a therapist, Lizzie worked for 15 years in the global health non-profit space, specializing in communications and advocacy planning for sexual and reproductive health campaigns. While Lizzie is excited to support individuals and families who have a wide range of goals for therapy, she has a particular interest in working with those who have a history of medical trauma, want to explore various relationship structures, and need support around life transitions. Lizzie is passionate about supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals and families.

Lizzie's own experiences living with chronic medical diagnoses and navigating our complex healthcare and social systems have shaped her collaborative and empathetic therapeutic approach. After spending over a decade on the East Coast, Lizzie is happy to be back in her native Pacific Northwest. She enjoys road trips with her cat on the weekends or paddleboarding as soon as it’s warm enough.
