Therapy Groups

Shared Quest Group with John and Lizzie

Group Goals: Adaptation of tabletop roleplaying games (TTRPGs), such as Dungeons & Dragons, is emerging as a beneficial way to offer traditional group therapy for the treatment of a variety of mental health concerns. This therapy group will be structured and designed for neurodivergent individuals (specifically common challenges associated with ADHD) that feel stuck in their life at home and or at work. Group sessions will be experiential and skills-based, with in-session behaviors serving as opportunities for reflection and change.

This group is a structured, time-limited psychotherapy group (8 sessions) using a simplified tabletop role-playing game framework to support clients with ADHD-related challenges:

  • Executive functioning

  • Emotional regulation

  • Interpersonal effectiveness

  • Values-based decision-making

Inclusion Criteria: 18+ adults w/ features of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder such as:

  • Difficulty with focus (attention regulation) and follow-through

  • Impulsivity

  • Social challenge

  • Low motivation or inconsistent engagement
