Evelyn Evano, LPC, LMFT
Evelyn has been a counselor and medical family therapist for two decades. She is licensed both as a professional counselor and a marriage and family therapist. Evelyn also specializes in the practices of compassion-based therapy and mindful self-compassion.
Evelyn specializes in working with individuals, couples, and family members who are coping with medical and health-related issues. Her personal experiences with illness and healing have deepened her commitment to helping others. As someone who lives with Type 1 diabetes, her counseling addresses the psychological, emotional, social, and behavioral aspects of living with diabetes. She sees many adults with Type 2 diabetes as well.
Evelyn also specializes in compassion-based therapy and mindful self-compassion. She is a trained teacher of the Mindful Self Compassion (MSC) program. Evelyn often says that MSC provided her the roadmap she had long searched for to help her learn to hold life, with all its suffering and all its potential for healing and joy, with both strength and a tender, caring heart. It has been transformative for her in so many ways that she treasures sharing it with others whenever desired.
Please note that Evelyn is not accepting new clients at this time.
