Deanna Linville, Ph.D., LMFT

Dr. Deanna Linville graduated with her M.S. degree in 2000 and her Ph.D. degree in 2003 from Virginia Tech. Deanna not only provides research consultation to other professionals and organizations but has led the development and testing of multiple clinical intervention studies across the last 12 years. Deanna was at the University of Oregon for 19 years in various faculty roles, where she built her program of research and had the pleasure of working on multi-disciplinary teams with colleagues and students. Deanna’s research foci are to develop and test clinical interventions that can reduce the disease burden on underserved communities, community-based needs assessments, and qualitative research methodologies. Deanna has more than a decade of experience consulting with others to design studies that provide answers to their most pressing research questions. She has over 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals and books that demonstrate the versatility of her work and the emphasis she places on multidisciplinary collaborations. Media outlets such as the New York Times, The Conversation and Mental Health Radio Network have highlighted her work. Deanna’s research has been funded by foundations and federal agencies.
